Having finished the final sound treatment to my listening room (ceiling mounted bass trap) I ran ARC2 once again, a straightforward exercise.
For the past five years I have tried all manner of things in the room but could never overcome what I can only describe as “bass hangover”.
Moving to the 710X and running ARC2 has cured the problem. Until now listening to my large B&W sub woofer alongside the 802’s was unsatisfactory.
No more as the Anthem hardware/software ensures that the three speakers work seamlessly together!
When I placed the order for the 710X you asked me why I wanted to move away from the large Pioneer receiver. I replied that the music reproduction was unsatisfactory particularly when listening to stereo recordings. I had read that Anthem are way ahead of the field when it came to audio quality, it is now a pleasure to listen to music of all types without fatigue.
Coupled with the Oppo 105 it is a dream combination for audio and video.
The really good news is that these two units are fantastic value and both available from a seller who both passionate and enthusiastic. What more can we asked?
